The problem

Out of the box, you can list your agents. Governing them takes more.

The Microsoft 365 admin center gives you some pretty basic capabilities out of the box: a list of the agents that exist and a high-level severity count. To actually govern them, with graded risk scoring, an agent map, and cross-resource controls, you need a lot more, and those capabilities come at an additional cost.

A basic list, not a graded picture

The free view shows counts and a high-severity number, not owner names, graded risk, or what each agent is grounded on.

A premium price to govern

Agent 365 is about $15 per user per month on top of E5, or bundled in E7 at $99 per user per month.

Still maturing

Several Agent 365 capabilities were still in preview at general availability, so what is production ready matters as much as what is announced.

And only if you qualify

Agent 365 requires E5 or E7. On E3, Business Standard, or A3 you can't buy it at all, no matter what you're willing to spend.
